"Quest was inspired by my son. The idea of the piece is to portray the natural curiosity and exploration that leads young people to develop passionate interests and goals – the independent pursuit of learning – with no parental prodding. It’s the love of learning for learning’s sake. As a parent I think it can be inspiring to watch the process of self-discovery unfold. Quest could be a birthday gift graduation gift new job or retiree gift or a thank you to a teacher/mentor who may have sparked an interest in a curious mind."
